WHAT I HAVE USED FOR THIS CREATION

Film

Poster

Review

For my review i mainly used PHOTOSHOP, i used this the mostly because i wanted to keep the exact structure of a conventional LOVEFILM review. So i removed all orginial text and replaced it with my own, and planned to change nearly all of the images with my own or the other short films from students in the class.

LOVEFILM (LF) and ROTTEN TOMATOES (RT) are the main review websites i looked at as i did not want to do a review in a magazine. I personally prefered LF to RT as i believe it had a better structure and looked cleaner and tidier, but the only problem with LF is that i could not find any short films in their review so i broke convention.

I often switched between MAC and PC through GOOGLE DRIVE and USBs.

With the poster it was also mainly PHOTOSHOP as i find it the most advanced and easiest photo-editing software possible.

The camera was not used too much as all I needed was a textured surface.

If at any second I struggle using PHOTOSHOP I use PHOTOSHOP-LADY as a guide to help me to fix/create designs.

I used everything above to create my film as it took the most to make but he's a few extras i have yet to include:

  • Marantz - To do foleying with and get some extra sound effects.

  • Tripod - To hold camera still so i can affect what the camera see, for example things moving in the background.

  • Blogger - View other blogs about their own short films.

  • Youtube and Vimeo - View techniques and advice.

  • HandBreak - To help manage files.

  • Other Horror Films - For inspiration and ideas.

  • Ipod - To get feedback from the public and hearing MP3 files from my ITUNES.

  • SlideShare - Inspiration and techniques.

  • Prezi - Creating and planning notes.

  • Reading graphic novels and books - So express feelings from books into a visual form.

  • Netflix - To view horror films.

  • Video Games - To see what scares people.

  • Cinema - Movie experiences.

I have used SURVEY MONKEY to get extra feedback from anonymous users on my poster. I shared the survey also through FACEBOOK.
